Mall Walkers!

Lily loves to go to the mall with mommy. Especially, if her best friend Gwenny is coming along too. When we're at the mall, Cheryl and I let Lily and Gwen walk by themselves most of the time. The two girls love to hold hands. So, this is the usual sceen for us!

It's really funny to watch them when we turn around or change directions. It takes the girls a couple of trys to figure out how to turn around without letting go of each other's hand. Too cute!

Old Yucky...

I have the sweetest little story to share... Sorry, no pics to go with this one :)

First, let me give you a little background. I'm not very good at picking up all of Lily's sippy cups at the end of every day, so occasionally, Lily will find a sippy cup out from the day before. She'll ask me if she can drink it, and I'll say, Oh, no, it's old and yucky, don't drink it! From this, the concept of "old yucky" has really caught on. Everything that isn't new, is "old yucky" to Lily.

The next thing you need to know, is that I'm pregnant again! We're thrilled, but surprised. I'm not sure yet when I'm due, but I'll have an ultrasound next week to figure it out. I think I'm due sometime in June. Anyway, I was talking to Lily, and I asked her if she would like a baby brother or a baby sister. She said, that she wants a baby sister just like Madeline. Then, I said, Oh, you want a new baby sister? And she replied, Yes, Madeline old yucky sister! I about died laughing. I then explained that we love Madeline and we will love her forever. Sisters never get old and yucky. I think she understood, but it was still pretty cute!

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa

After we visited the pumpkin patch, we had to clean out a pumpkin and carve a Jack-o-lantern! Grandpa is an expert pumpkin carver, so he showed Lily how it's done.

First, you clean out the pumpkin with a scraper.

Sometimes, you have to dig really deep into the pumpkin.

And then, after Grandpa works really hard, you have a pumpkin castle!

Madeline loves to be outside and hang out with Dad.

Grandma, Grandpa and Lily made a spooky cookie house.

We all rode the train at Zilker Park. It was Madeline's first train ride. She loved the wind!

We had a wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa.

Pumpkins Pumpkins Everywhere!

Today we took our first pumpkin patch trip! My parents are here visiting, so they got to be part of the fun! Both of the girls had a lot of fun and I got some adorable pictures. Enjoy!

My Ironman

On Sunday, Scott completed the Texas Longhorn Half-Ironman. He did Awesome! A Half-Ironman race is a triathlon including swim, bike and run sections. The swim was 1.2 miles, the bike was 56 miles and the run was 13.1 miles. So, all together, Scott went 70.3 miles! His official time was 5:59:44.

It was a really tough course! There were some giant hills, especially in the run section of the race. It was a hot day too! Many of the athletes were saying that this course is possibly the hardest half-ironman they've ever done.

Scott got up really early on Sunday and left the house at 5:30 am. The girls and I weren't up yet. The race started at 7:30. It would have been great for us to go out and see him finish. We didn't make it out because of nap times and how hot the day was. So, I don't have any great pictures of Scott doing the race. I do have a couple of pictures that his friend and co-athlete Chris took.

This first picture was taken at Chris's house before they went on to the race. I'm sure they were both really excited to go race!

This next picture was taken after the race. Although Scott drank a ton of water and other fluids while he was competing, it really wasn't enough. After he finished the race, he couldn't keep any fluids down, so he ended up in the medical tent. After a bag of IV fluids, he was doing much better...

He's doing great now! A little sore, but ready to move on to the next big adventure. I think it's going to be the AT&T Marathon in February!

Swings!

I just had to post these pictures of Madeline. I think they are so sweet! She LOVES to swing! Lily loves it too... I tried to get some good shots of Lily, but she was swinging so fast that they all turned out blurry. Enjoy!

Maiden Voyage

We just got a new wagon! We took the girls out in their first voyage. We just went up to our neighborhood park to swing. Both girls loved facing eachother and giggled most of the time! I think the wagon is going to be great for trick-or-treating this year!

Pretty Pictures Daddy

The other night, Lily asked Scott if he would take some pretty pictures of her before bed. So, he got the camera out and asked her to pose for her pictures.

First, she got her sippy cup and teddy bear and sat on her little couch.

Rock-A-Bye

I caught this adorable video the other night... The color is a little off, it's the movie, not your monitor. I couldn't figure out how to save the corrected color without buying some new software.

Bath Time

Bathtime is the happiest time of day in the Caudle house! Especially, for Madeline. She LOVES to splash! Scott and I are usually soaked by the time bathtime is over. It's so much fun...

First Post

Well, this is my first post on my new blog. Very exciting. I think this may be a more interesting way to view the pictures of my family, although, I won't be posting as many pictures as I have been on my caudle.us website. Here we go!

Madeline is so happy! Everytime I get the camera out to take pictures, she chases after me! I have to put her down and run away and hurry to snap the picture before she catches me. That's why, all of my pictures of her look like this... she's coming to get me!

In this picture, I tried to get Lily to hold Madeline for me so that I could get a good picture. Madeline and Lily both thought that was hilarious!

Another attempt by Lily to hold Madeline. This time with a hug. Lily LOVES Madeline and hugs her all of the time. Usually, Madeline loves it too!
