Sauce Please!

I just have to share something that I think is incredibly cute...  Madeline calls toothpaste "sauce".  Every night, either in bath or just after Lily and Madeline brush their teeth.  We don't use real toothpaste yet, because of the fluoride (my dentist said it can cause brown spots on their adult teeth if it is ingested, and I can't promise they aren't swallowing yet...).  But we do have the Little Bear Training Toothpaste (fluoride free).  Madeline always asks for "sauce" with her tooth brush.   

Hosley's Visit

We had an excellent visit from my parents for Wyatt's baptism.  We all had a great time playing while they were here.  I got a couple of pictures of my dad pushing Madeline on the swing.  SO cute!

Wyatt's Baptism

On January 18, 2009, Wyatt Eugene Caudle was baptised at St. Catherine-Sienna Church in Austin, Texas.  The ceremony was very nice.  Wyatt was very well behaved.  Lily and Madeline did great too!

The Sound of Music

In November, Lily learned all of the words to "Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music.  She's been singing it every day since.  It's her favorite song.  It just so happened that the drama department at Bowie High School (near our house) was performing The Sound of Music!  So, Scott took Lily to her first performance in a theater.  It was really a big deal for her.  I didn't get to go, but Scott said she loved it!  Lily sat on Scott's lap for most of the performance.  She loved the music and all of the costumes.  There was a live orchestra too.  It was very special.  Lily wore her white dress with a blue satin sash.

Messy Madeline

Madeline can make a mess faster than any child I know!  I'm learning that this has a little bit to do with being the little sister.  Anyway, these were some cute shots we got of her being her messy little self...

Here she is pictured with Lily.  Madeline had just got a hold of 2 markers, taken the lids off, taken the ink out and ate them.  So disgusting!

Wyatt Update

So, it just occurred to me that I haven't posted an update on how Wyatt is growing in quite a while.  The BIG news...  he's crawling!  He started getting around about a month ago.  At first is was just pulling himself around with his belly on the ground.  But, about 2 weeks ago, he figured out how to crawl with his belly up.  Since then, he's only gotten faster.  He can get around and is starting to pull himself up on things.  It's amazing!  I'm going to try to get a video of him crawling today and post it.

On Sunday, he got his first tooth, or teeth rather.  His bottom two teeth came in at the same time.  He was pretty fussy about it all.  But I'm not sure if it was the teeth or his third ear infection that was causing the problem.  That's right... Wyatt is on antibiotics AGAIN for another ear infection.  He's had 3 since Thanksgiving.  It's not looking good...  Hopefully this is the last one, or we may be headed down the tubes in the ear road.  We'll see.

Go Steelers!

We had a fun football party on Sunday.  The Steelers played the Chargers and won!  We were all dressed up in our Steelers gear.  Here are some fun pics:

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday season and are ready for a great 2009.  Things are great around here.  We all had colds and some strep throat through the holidays, but we're better now and ready to get back into our routeins.  Here are a few pics that we've taken the last few days.

My girls and I got matching aprons for Christmas.  My apron says Domestic Diva and the girl's aprons say Diva in Training!  Too Cute!

Scott and I got to go out for New Years.  We had a ball!  We went to Barton Creek Resort and had a delightful dinner and dancing.  The food was excellent.  There was piano music in the background during dinner.  Afterwards, there was a party with live music.  We danced, had champagne and got to be in the middle of the dance floor at midnight for a huge balloon drop.  It was wonderful!
