Kitty Moo

My kids do yoga.  It's so funny and cute!  Lily's preschool has yoga class on Friday's and she's been learning so much!  Yesterday, we asked her what she did in yoga and she said they did Kitty-Moo (for the other yogi's out there, cat-cow!).  We asked her to show us her Kitty-Moo and she did.  She had to be sure to "meow" during the Kitty and "moo" during the Moo.

This morning, we decided to do some family exercises.  We checked Exercise On Demand and found a bunch of programs just for kids.  They had 2 kid yoga programs and they were adorable!  I took some pictures...

This is Madeline getting ready to do her "frog".

Here's Lily mid-frog.
Wyatt didn't participate, but we think he's pretty cute.
Lily was flapping like a bird.
Scott and Lily flapping like a bird!

Serve it with RANCH!

Thank goodness for Ranch Dressing!  My kids will eat almost anything if I serve it with ranch...  Lily once even ate her banana dipped in ranch dressing, gross!

Annabelle is safe

I just heard that Annabelle has been found safe and is on her way home.  I don't know any other details yet.  I'm am so relieved.

ANNABELLE WILLIAMS-FORLANO

This little girl lives near my cousin Keri in The Woodlands, Texas.  She is 5 years old and has always been in the care of her aunt and uncle, who have legal custody of Annabelle.  She and Keri's daughter Emma are good friends.  Annabelle's parents were recently released from jail and abducted Annabelle during a supervised visit at Chuck E Cheese.  She has not been recovered yet.  Annabelle does not have a relationship established with her parents.  She is probably very scared.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.  We are all hoping for Annabelle's safe return.  Here is a link to the National Center for Missing Children:  http://www.missingkids.com/missingkids/servlet/PubCaseSearchServlet?act=viewChildDetail&LanguageCountry=en_US&searchLang=en_US&caseLang=en_US&orgPrefix=NCMC&caseNum=1116260&seqNum=1

It's been a long week...

Well, I'm glad the week is over and I ready for a new one!  Madeline, Wyatt and I have all had a little stomach bug this week.  It was a slow moving one that lasted several days but was less severe than we've had in the past.  I think we are all feeling better and we are ready to move one.

I'm dissappointed that I didn't get any other posts up this week.

A little change...

My friend Deanna has inspired me to try to post more often.  So far, my blog has been mostly about posting pictures of my kids, but I think I want to try to transform it into something more.  I'm going to try to write a little about what I'm thinking about and what events are going on.  Not just what I've managed to take a picture of.

Today, it's raining but warm.  The weather is ... interrupted by Madeline.

I am feeling especially challenged by my Madeline these days.  Her favorite word is NEVER.  "Mom, I NEVER say sorry!", "Mom, I NEVER go to timeout!", "Mom, I NEVER come with you!"... sigh...  deep breath...  Remember she's 2.  Patience...

We're going to a Teddy Bear Pic-Nic in about 30 mintues.  I'm as excited as the girls are, I think it's going to be so fun.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Scott took Lily and Madeline to the Daddy Daughter Dance at Lifetime Fitness.  We took these adorable pictures outside before they left.  Madeline was especially excited to get to go with Lily and Scott on the date.  They had a great time!  There was a DJ and fun Valentine gifts and games for the little girls.

I did it!

I ran my first 1/2 Marathon last weekend!  I'm so proud.  I've been training since September.  I'm pretty slow, but I've improved so much over the last few months.  This was the 3M 1/2 Marathon and I signed up to run the Austin 1/2 Marathon on February 15th.  Scott came out to support me.  He dropped me off at the start, and then I saw him at mile 4, 7 and 11 and then at the finish (13.1 miles).  It was a beautiful day, just perfect for running.  It was sunny and cold, 36 degrees at the start and 42 at the finish.  Awesome!

At home before the race
At the start, I have my number on.
Mile 4.  I have my gloves in hand to give to Scott.  It was so helpful to have him along the course to drop off the stuff I didn't need anymore.
Mile 7...  Still smiling!

Crazy Kids!

Some cute pictures of Wyatt and Madeline...

Madeline is pretending that she is a horse and her elephant "Ahwoo" is going for a ride.  He is held on to her by a hair band.  So silly!
