Wyatt, Wyatt, Goofy Wyatt!

Wyatt is so funny! Yesterday, when I got the camera out to take pictures of the Steelers dresses, he followed me around and was posing for the camera. So cute!!

Farm Potluck

Last weekend we went out to the farm that we are members of for a farm potluck! It was a BEAUTIFUL day. Warm enough that we weren't cold, but it wasn't hot. The farm has a pecan orchard next to the crop field, and that's where we had the pic-nic. There was live music and tons of space to run around. The food was delicious too! The kids had a ball playing on a stationary tractor and pulling each other in our wagon. What a great day!!

And One For Me...

I've been having a ball with my sewing machine. I have more ideas than I have time to do them. I am struggling a little bit staying focused on a project because I'm so excited to start the next one! Today, I pulled this old orange shirt out of my closet. I thought I'd try making something for myself. I had the brown fabric left over from years ago... And the cream colored fabric was from about 7 years ago when I thought I was going to make a quilt. I think the dress turned out pretty cute. I'm going to try wearing it first chance I get :)

Go Steelers!

The Steelers are having a great season :) Lily loves to tell everybody... "We're a Steelers Family!"... So true. I saw some Steelers fabric at the fabric store, and I couldn't resist. I'm having so much fun with this sewing kick! Enjoy.

I love givaways!

Today's Project...

Homemade dresses part 2... When I was at the fabric store, I thought this fabric was SOO cute. I had to make the girls dresses from it too.

This one is Lily's dress. She didn't want to put it on for me to take her picture.

Sew Easy

I've been planning our family photo outfits... I like this blue and brown as our color scheme... I've been looking for dresses for the girls, but I haven't really liked what I've found. SO... I decided to stop by the fabric store and see if I liked anything there. I found this polka dot fabric and the brown with flowers. Today, I made both Lily and Madeline new dresses. It was fun! I haven't had my sewing machine out in ages. I made the dresses in the "pillow case" style. There's a trend out there of taking vintage pillow cases and making them into dresses for little girls. The dresses are so sweet and simple. Obviously, these weren't pillow cases, but I think they turned out adorable. I can't wait until our family pictures!

Cuties

I have a few adorable pictures to share. Is it possible that my kids are the cutest kids?! I am struck every day by genuine sweetness. Sometimes I feel like I need to squeeze them until they burst because they are so cute.

Here, I asked Wyatt to smile when I had my camera. I think it's so sweet that he tilted his head to one side and then smiled. It's just like Lily! She almost always tilts her head when she smiles.

Lily did this puzzle all by herself! She got the box out. Sorted the pieces (100!) into the edge and center pieces. She put the edge together first and then she worked on the center. It took her a long time, maybe 40 or 45 minutes. I am so impressed that she was able to focus on something that long and she was able to do the entire puzzle. Wow.

I had just asked Madeline if she would like to go to her bed for a nap. "NO! Mommy, I'm not tired! I'm a big girl and I DON'T TAKE NAPS!!"... 5 minutes later...

A sweet picture of Papa Dennis reading Wyatt a book. Wyatt has really discovered books lately and he brings them to me constantly. I found a set of Thomas the Train board books at Half Price Books this week. OMG! Wyatt is crazy about them! He brings me choo choo books ALL DAY LONG. We've only had the books about 4 days and I've already memorized them. It's so cute!

Goofy Wyatt

The house got a little quiet this morning and I got suspicious. I found the girls playing nicely together in the living room. But where was Wyatt?! The bathroom door was closed. That's weird. I opened it, and this is what I found! I have never found my children actually IN the toilet before! I shut the door and ran to grab my camera! I came back and he was still there. I got 3 pictures before the girls joined me and we got Wyatt out of the potty.

Here's the gross part... Madeline had just tinkled and she does not flush the potty... YUCK!

It's October!!

I think October and November are my favorite months. I just LOVE fall! I love all the fall festivities and I love it when the weather changes. I'm so excited that it's October and we celebrated by taking a trip out to my favorite pumpkin patch today.

It's called Sweet Berry Farms, and it's located in Marble Falls, Texas. It's about a 50 minute drive for us, so it's a big trip. I met a group of other moms and kids out there and we had a little field trip. We took a hay ride, we made our way through a maze in a corn field, we painted little pie pumpkins and we got to eat some homemade vanilla ice cream. Everyone had a ball!

I think my kids like climbing all over the pumpkins best of all. It was so cute to watch Wyatt try to keep up with his big sisters. It rained a little bit on us, so the kids got good and dirty! We didn't mind the rain, it wasn't too bad and it kept the temperature down. Below are some of my pictures, the rest are on Facebook.
