Sea World!

On Sunday, we went to Sea World!  We had a ball!

Wyatt stayed behind with Scott's parents, Dennis and Marcia.  So, it was just Scott, the girls and me.  It was so much fun!  The weather was perfect.  Sea World is having a special where if you buy one day's admission, you can get in for free for the rest of the year.  So, we plan to go back at least once more or maybe twice.  Of course, Shamu was a big hit!  Also, the penguin exhibit.  I'm not sure if they liked the penguins or the moving sidewalk more, but either way, we had to "do it again" about 5 or 6 times.  We got to get up close to the dolphins and we got to see the baby beluga whale.  The Viva show was awesome (whales and dolphins) and so was Believe (Shamu).  We stayed dry, but we'll plan to play in the water next time, when the weather is warmer.  Here's a few pics from our adventure:

Birthday Parties!

The spring seems to be full of birthdays to celebrate!  It's always so fun.  These pictures were taken at Gwenny's Max and Ruby party  (Gwenny is Lily's best friend).  We all had a GREAT time!  I'm so terrible at taking pictures at parties.  I got one of Madeline and Scott took one of me and Wyatt, but I didn't take any pictures of the birthday girl or of Lily...  sigh.

First Day of Spring!

Today is the first day of spring!  It's a beautiful day in Austin!!  My home is so clean after my mom's visit (she's amazing!).  So, I wanted to do something outside with the kids and enjoy the day.  I took them to Mayfield Park to try to get some cute pictures.  I think I got some good ones!  It's hard to get all 3 of the kids together, but I did my best!

A visit from Grandma Cindi!

What would spring break be without a visit from Grandma Cindi?!  We had a ball!  It was a quick trip, just 2 nights, but me and the kids really had a great time.  Thanks for coming out to see us!

Madeline is looking for the Easter Eggs that Lily hid in the backyard.

Grandma Cindi and Lily are playing hopscotch on the driveway.

PRINCESS PARTY

We celebrated Lily's birthday princess style with a fun and fancy Princess Tea Party!  Her little friends came over on Sunday, March 8th at tea time (4:00)!  We painted little ceramic tea cups and plates, made necklaces with beads and letters, made princess hats, wore fancy gloves and played a princess trivia game.  It was a ball!  I made a bunch of little fancy princess treats and tried to keep all the kids busy.  I think the party was a success, however, once the girls arrived, I didn't manage to pick up my camera!  I have some pictures of the pre-party set up, but that's all!

Backyard Camping

Scott and the kids went camping in the backyard!  The weather is beautiful in Austin right now!  On a Friday afternoon (March 6th), Scott and the girls put up our tent while Wyatt and I watched.  All three of the kids were THRILLED to be inside the tent and playing in it.  Lily has a small princess tent that we set up inside of our big tent.  Then, we collected sleeping bags and pillows and set up a bed for the girls and for Scott.  We've tried this before, and Lily has lasted until maybe 9:30 or 10:00 pm before she said she wanted to go inside to her room.  That's what we were expecting to happen again...

Boy, were we wrong!  Madeline lasted about 20 minutes in the tent after the sun went down, then she wanted to come inside with Wyatt and Mommy.  Lily was so happy to be outside and she was tired too, so she just went ahead and fell asleep about 8:30.  We were so surprised!  Scott stayed with her and also slept in the backyard.  Lily woke up about 3:00 am and she and Scott came inside to finish the night at about 4:00 am.  It was quite an adventure!

Here's a few pics...  I uploaded them in the reverse order, but you get the idea!

Lily's Birthday!

Lily's birthday is March 5th.  This year, she turned 4 years old!  I can't believe I have a 4 year old.  On her actual birthday, we had a little birthday dinner and a small cake.  She had a party too, but I'll post about that in a little bit...

Here are some pics from her birthday.  Papa Dennis came over for dinner too.  We had Lily's favorite, mac and cheese with grapes.  She decided the menu.
