First Steps!

Wyatt took his first steps today!!  He was at music class with me and Madeline.  He was standing in front of me (with out holding on to me or anything) and then he took 2 steps to get to me!  Whoo hoo!  I've been trying to get him to do it again, but so far, there has not been a repeat performance.

Crazy Kids!

I have some pictures to share...  The first two are from a trip to the Austin Zoo recently...  The rest are just the kids being silly...

I haven't updated on Wyatt in a while.  Boy, he's getting big and growing fast!  He's crawling all over the place.  He is cruising on the furniture and can stand on his own for about 15 seconds.  I keep thinking he's going to make that leap to his first step, but it hasn't happened yet!  He loves the dog door and regularly goes outside through it.  He can say about 4 words...  Ball, Up, Mama and a version of Balloon, which is more like ba ba.

We're all doing great.  I'm so happy the weather is getting warmer.  We're ready for some more outdoor activities.  Madeline is going to start preschool this summer.  She and I are both excited about that!

Time Alone...

Scott and I spent a night away!  Whoo hoo!  This was our first night away, together, since Lily was born.  It was awesome.  We were gone for a little over 24 hours and our kids were home with Scott's parents, Dennis and Marcia.

Our adventure started with a bike ride!  We biked for a little over an hour.  We used to bike together all of the time before we had kids.  It was a beautiful day, and it was fun to get to do something that we both enjoy.  After our bike ride, we checked into our hotel, the Driskill, in downtown Austin.  We last stayed at the Driskill on our wedding night.  From there, we went for a short run, and after a couple of miles, we found ourselves at a pub!  We had fries and beer, and took a moment to just enjoy the lack of responsibility.

We had dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion.  It was awesome!  They really went the extra mile to make us feel special.  We found our names in the menu with a special note and love poem.  All of the wait staff made a point to stop by our table and wish us a Happy Anniversary, and they took our picture and gave us free champagne.  The food was awesome too!

After dinner, we hit the Gingerman, an old favorite of ours.  The Gingerman moved since we were last there, so it was fun to check out it's new location.  We were happily surprised to find that it kept so much of it's original charm.

By then, I was pooped!  I had gotten up early for my weightloss team workout and I hadn't stopped all day...  So, it was back to the hotel.  We got to sleep in and enjoy room service and breakfast in bed!  We went to yoga at Yoga Vida before heading home and hugging our kids.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary!  Wow.  Seven years.  I thought I'd post some pictures from our wedding day to mark the occation.  We are celebrating this coming weekend.  We've planned a night away.  Scott's parents are going to stay with the wee ones and we are going to stay at the Driskill in downtown Austin.  We stayed at the Driskill on our wedding night, so we decided to stay there again.  Enjoy the pictures!
