Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

The first Easter Egg Hunt of the season was yesterday for us. Our neighborhood association had it's annual spring festival. They had a jumping castle, a mini train, a cake walk, tons of food and drinks and of course an Easter Egg Hunt! The girls were in different groups, but both had a ball! I got some cute pictures, enjoy!

Camping!

March has been full of excitement around here, and there's more to come!!! On Saturday night, Scott and his dad Dennis set up our tent in the back yard and took Lily camping. She had a ball! Of course, she didn't end up sleeping out there. I think they lasted until about 9:00 pm and then she was tired and wanted her bed. They had a great time! You may notice that Lily has her own little tent. We set up our big family tent, and then inside, we set up Lily's little princess tent. It's just big enough for her and her sleeping bag. She was very nice, and let Madeline come in her princess tent too.

Belly Update

Here's another picture of my belly... I think it's getting bigger every day! This little man is very active! He keeps me away at night now. I am 26 weeks (out of 40, although, Lily was born at 36 and Madeline 38, so maybe a little less than 40), and feeling good. I'm starting to have a little trouble bending over things, especially Madeline's crib. But, really, I can't complain. Things are going very well.

Princess Party

Lily's best friend Gwenny had her birthday party on Saturday. Lily and Gwenny are 2 weeks apart. Gwenny's mom Cheryl and I met in prepared childbirth class when we were pregnant with Lily and Gwenny. Gwen has a little brother Mitchell who is 3 weeks older than Madeline. It's been so fun and so helpful to have a friend with kids my kid's ages.

Anyway, for Gwenny's 3rd birthday, she had a Princess Tea party. It was so fun! The girls and some of the parents too got all dressed up. They made little foam crowns and of course played with the tea sets. There were extra accessories set out and lots of little shoes. It was so much fun! Here are some of the pictures:

Dora the Explorer Adventure Party

For Lily's birthday party, she wanted to have a Dora the Explorer Adventure Party. I was thrilled. I thought, a Fiesta! So, when the party guests arrived, I had fiesta music playing, sombrero's, maracas and tons of balloons. We started the party off with dancing. Then, when the food was all ready, we ate. I was very impressed with how well all of the kids ate. I expected it to be noisy and messy, but all of the little ones sat in their chairs and ate their dinner very politely. After dinner we went on a Dora Adventure. I gave each child a map and a fanny pack. Inside each fanny pack was a magnified glass, binoculars, a flashlight and a friendship bracelet. Just what you need on an adventure! The first task was to cross Rainbow Bridge. On our deck, I had little foam squares with letters and numbers, the kids had to find numbers 1 through 5 to get across the bridge. They worked together and got the job done! The next task was to get through the star tunnels. There were tunnels with little paper stars leading the way, and all of the kids had to crawl through to the other side. Finally, they had to find the pinata tree. Once there, we pulled the pinata strings. It was a ball! I was happy with how well everyone participated. After our little adventure, we went back into the house and we made paper flowers, and sang "Happy Birthday" and then ate cake and ice cream. It was a wonderful party and I think everyone had a great time.

Lily's Birthday

March 5th was Lily's 3rd birthday! Her actual birthday was a Wednesday and we had a small celebration with just mom, dad Lily and Madeline. We had a party for her on Saturday, March 8th, a new post with those pictures will follow. Here are the pictures from our small party on her birthday:

Lily's Camera and Pictures

For Christmas, Papa and Gram Caudle gave Lily her very own digital camera! She was so thrilled. We had some issues getting the batteries in, but that is resolved now. Lily LOVES her camera and has taken so many pictures with it. I'm really impressed with it. It holds about 80 pictures, so she can snap away and take a lot of pictures. This morning, I unloaded the pictures to the computer and here are the best shots:

Someone playing with the music table. Most of the pictures looked like this, I think Lily needs to learn that she's not supposed to move when she's taking a picture.

Dress up time!

Here are some fun pictures of the girls playing dress up. Believe it or not, it was Madeline's idea for her to wear the tutus. She loves to try on different shoes and skirts and anything fancy. She's definitely a girly girl!

Spring is here!

It's March! I'm so thrilled. I'm ready for warmer weather and more time outside. My belly is growing and our preparations for the new little one are coming along. In the last month, we've gotten a new car! I'm now officially a mini-van mom! I love it! I got a 2008 White Honda Odyssey. It's wonderful! Scott ran his marathon, he did great! Dennis and Marcia (Scott's parents) have arrived and her here for the next 6 months. We're so excited to have Papa and Gram with us! Here are some pictures of the girls playing and of my ever growing belly (24 weeks along in the picture).
