My Girls...

Lily and Madeline brought these art projects home from school a few weeks ago. I think they say it all! They dipped some yarn in glue and then put them on their paper. Lily's yarn is set in nearly straight rows. She tried to not have any of the pieces touching. It's very ordered. Madeline's yarn is in a pile with lots of twists and turns. I think it's so interesting!

Baking Cookies

Last week, Cheryl had us over to bake cookies! It was so cute and so much fun. The kids each made a giant flower cookie with 8 petals. The flower base was frosted and then each petal was covered in sprinkles. They turned out super cute and all the kids had a ball (and got pretty messy!).

Lily was wearing Gwenny's Minnie Mouse costume.

Silly Summer Days

Here are some pictures from our silly summer days...

Madeline did this to herself!
And then Lily decided to lend her a hand...
Lily needed some color on her face too...
Check out their arms!! My crazy kids...

Jellystone Park

We went "camping" at Jellystone Park! In Waller, Texas, there is a campground in the Yogi Bear theme. It's designed for families, and we had a ball! We rented one of their cabins, Yogi In The Pines, and brought along Grandma Marcia and Papa Dennis. It was HOT! But, thankfully, there was an awesome water park to keep us cool. It rained for the first couple of hours after we arrived on Friday, and I think that helped cool things down. It was HUMID! My cousin Keri, her husband Alex and their 3 kids joined us, along with our friends Chris and Melissa and their 2 kids. So, we had 8 kids, ages 5 and under and 8 adults. Good times!

I'm sure we'll go back again. It was great!

These girls to too cute!

This is Wyatt's favorite spot. He spends as much time here as he can negotiate with Papa. Luckily for Wyatt, Papa doesn't seem to mind too much!

Yogi Bear came out to greet the kids and lead the camp in a flag raising. Emma was chosen to lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Madeline went right up to Yogi to give him a hug, but Lily hung back. She wasn't too sure about this bear!
Our cabin... Actually, quite spacious. There was a bedroom in the back end, a bathroom. A pullout couch in the kitchen/living room and a screened in porch. Above the porch was a loft that was tall enough for all of the kids to stand in. It was very comfortable and clean. We celebrated Scott's birthday while we were there. All of the kids got sunglasses and party hats.

July Trip to Arizona

Is it really August?! I can't believe how fast this summer is flying by!! We have packed our summer full of fun and I'm anxious to catch up with my blogging. Something strange is happening with blogger... It won't let me upload my last 5 pictures from our Arizona trip. I'll keep trying... You can see all of my pictures on Facebook, if you don't yet have an account, it's easy to sign up (and free!), be sure to add me as your friend!

We were in Arizona for 5 nights, from July 10th to the 15th. We had a great time! We stayed at my parent's new house in Show Low. Thank goodness we weren't in Phoenix! I hear it was 116 or so!! It was beautiful in Show Low, and it was wonderful to see so many friends and family. Thank you to everyone who made an extra effort to come up and see us! I hope it's not too long before we can come back to visit.

There was a nest with a family of baby birds living on the back porch.

Madeline's favorite game is "Wanna chase me?"... Caleb (Nick's fiance's son), was happy to play with her. They chased each other endlessly around the golf coarse.

I'm not sure exactly what happened here, but Lily seems very pleased with herself!

Madeline caught in action!

Duck Duck Goose!
Lily decorated my face with stickers.

We took a day trip up to Hawley Lake. It's so beautiful! I don't remember the last time I was up there.

Wyatt LOVED walking around in the lake. He was so thrilled. It was really hard to convince him that it was time to get out and dry off. He didn't want anybody to hold his hand or help him either.

My mom showed the kids how to throw rocks into the water. They had a great time!
Doesn't this picture look like an advertisement for summer?

All of us!

A great shot of my parents!
