Sleep

Well, needless to say, I haven't been getting much sleep. Wyatt is 2 days shy of 6 weeks. My girls both were sleeping 6 consecutive hours at night by 6 weeks, but it looks like Wyatt is not going to cooperate that well. He wants to eat every 2 hours, even at night! I have had a few nights where he's slept as long as 4 1/2 hours, but those nights are very infrequent.

Last night was the best night for me! I needed to get some sleep, so Scott and I made a plan that I would nurse Wyatt and then go to sleep. Scott would stay up and feed Wyatt a bottle at his next feeding and then put him to bed. This way, I would get 2 blocks of time to sleep. It turns out that Wyatt slept from 10:00 pm until 2:00 am! Scott was so sweet and stayed up until 2:00 to give Wyatt his bottle and then put him to bed. Wyatt woke up next at 5:30 am, so I got to sleep from 10:00 until 5:30 am! That's almost a normal night of sleep!!! I haven't had a normal night of sleep in months. The last couple of months of pregnancy don't offer normal sleep either. I feel great today!

The Galespie family sent us the adorable Big Sister and Little Brother shirts featured on my children in the picture below. Thank you! Wyatt has started smiling! I'll try to capture one in a picture soon and post as soon as I do.

Well, someone is crying... I'd better go!
