Running Update

I started training for my first 1/2 Marathon in September this year.  I'm so excited about it.  It's been really fun to add milage and reach new personal goals almost every week.

This week was a new first for me.  I ran 12 miles yesterday!  When I started training, the furthest I had ever run was 6 miles.  Now, I've doubled it.  It's so amazing to me that running the 12 miles didn't seem any harder to me than the first time that I ran 6 miles.  I feel like I've really accomplished something.

My race is at the end of January and I feel like I will be ready for it.  In September, 13.1 miles seemed like an impossible goal, now it's just around the corner.  To me right now, 26.2 miles seems crazy, maybe I'll try that next year!
